Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Azrivo ("Azrivo", "we", "us"), operated by Azrivo LLC of Tbilisi, Georgia, uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy (linked in the footer), which explains the rest of how we handle your data.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — let a site keep small amounts of information in your browser too. We use the word "cookies" below to cover all of these.

Cookies can be strictly necessary (the site cannot work without them) or optional (analytics, marketing, and similar). Under EU/EEA law, optional cookies may be set only with your consent; strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent but we still disclose them here.

2. What we use today

Azrivo uses one strictly-necessary cookie, plus analytics cookies that run only if you opt in. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.

We also store your cookie choice itself in your browser (so we can remember your decision and honor it). Remembering your consent is a strictly-necessary use and does not itself require consent.

If you try Azrivo without an account, the session cookie above is what holds your trial — there is no sign-in, so that cookie is the only thing linking your browser to the conversation you started. Alongside it we keep four small items in your browser's own storage, all of them strictly necessary to make the trial work, none shared with anyone, and none used for measurement: a note that a trial is in progress (cleared when you sign out), the message you typed before the trial started (a few minutes), where to return you if you create an account (a day), and a short-lived marker that stops two open tabs from starting two trials at once (a few seconds). None of these identify you.

Two other small items may be in your browser's storage, and we list them here for completeness rather than leave the section looking exhaustive when it is not. Your theme choice (light or dark) is kept so the site looks the way you set it. And if you arrived through a link we posted somewhere — a link carrying a ?ref= tag — we keep that tag for the current browser tab so we can tell which channel a visit came from, and it is attached if you go on to start a trial or register. That tag names the channel, not you: it is one value from a short fixed list (anything unrecognised becomes other), it is first-party, it is dropped when you close the tab, and it is never used to follow you across other sites. It is, however, attribution rather than a mechanism the product needs to run, so we do not claim it as strictly necessary. It predates the trial and applies to every visitor; if you would rather it were not kept, block or clear site data for azrivo.com, and nothing else will break.

3. Analytics — what it does, and what we deliberately switched off

If — and only if — you turn Analytics on, we load Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to understand how Azrivo is used in aggregate: how many people visit, which pages they open, and roughly where they come from. Nothing is requested from Google, and no _ga cookie is created, before you opt in.

We have configured it more tightly than the default:

• Page addresses are trimmed before they are sent. We send the page name only (for example /pricing), never anything after a ? in the address. This matters because some Azrivo links — password-reset and email-verification links — carry a one-time security token in the address. That token is stripped and never reaches Google.
• We never send your conversations. Your prompts, debates, plans, documents, attachments, and generated files are not sent to Google Analytics. Nor is your name, email address, or account identifier.
• Advertising features are turned off. Google Signals, ad personalisation, and ad-related storage are all disabled, so this data is not used to target advertising to you anywhere.

Google acts as our processor for this, and processes the data in the United States; see the International transfers section of our Privacy Policy for the safeguards that apply. Google's own handling is described in its Privacy Policy. You can also install Google's browser opt-out add-on, which blocks Google Analytics on every site.

Marketing remains an available choice in the banner, but nothing is wired to it — we run no marketing or advertising tags at all today. If that ever changes we will update this policy, with a new version and effective date, and ask for your consent again before anything runs.

Our public share pages (azrivo.com/d/…, where someone has published a debate) run no analytics and no cookies at all — visits there are counted with a simple first-party tally that does not identify the visitor.

4. Your choices

• When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept all, Reject all, or Manage preferences to choose per category. Optional categories are off by default — doing nothing does not turn them on.
• You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, which reopens the preferences panel. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
• Browser controls — you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie will stop you from staying signed in.

5. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our use of cookies changes — for example, if we introduce an optional analytics or marketing tool. We will change the version and effective date above, and where a change is material we will ask for your consent again.

Changelog

• 1.2 (effective 2026-07-21) — Trying Azrivo without an account: the session cookie now also keeps a free trial attached to your browser when there is no sign-in, and §2 says so instead of describing only the signed-in case. §2 also now lists the small browser-storage items a trial uses — all strictly necessary, so no new optional category was added and we did not ask for your cookie choice again. In the same pass we disclosed two items that were always there and never listed: your theme choice, and the ?ref= tag that records which posted link a visit arrived through.
• 1.1 (effective 2026-07-19) — Analytics is now in use, with your consent. Added Google Analytics 4 behind the existing opt-in, named it and its cookies in §2, and added §3 describing what it collects and the advertising features we switched off. Because this is a material change, we asked everyone for their cookie choice again rather than relying on a choice made when the analytics category was empty.
